This morning as I sit here,
In the quiet of this place.
I can’t help but think of you.
How I long to see your face.

It has been such a long time,
Since I have seen your smile.
I wonder if you can see me,
When you look down from on high.

You were the very first one,
Who looked into my eyes.
And when I looked into your face,
You were such a sweet surprise.

I love and I still miss you,
Even though it has been so long.
But, I can feel your presence,
In the sunshine or a song.

Thank you for the memories.
That will never fade away.
And, Thank You Lord, for Mama,
Who is beside me every day.

Of all the mothers everywhere,
I know God gave to me,
A priceless gift and treasure I save,
Through precious memories.
