As we give thanks for what we have
Let's not forget the one's afar
Fighting for our honor and country
Protecting who we are.

They fight on for our rights and freedom
So very tired and all alone
Away from family and loved ones
To take a stand, they are so strong.



They will fight until their dying breath
If that is what the future sees
Always ready to the march
Protecting such as you and me.

So on the upcoming Christmas Day
Won't you please honor them in prayer
Let us stand together hand in hand
And show our troops we really care
