A friend is one
of the greatest things you can have,
and certainly one of the best things that you can be.
A friend is someone, whom you can confide in,
share your struggles with, your joys, and your dreams.
A friend doesn’t ask you why, or how, or even when,
just a person who cares for you as who you are.
A friend will stand by your side, encourage you, and challenge you,
and be near you, and often times, from afar.

A friend is someone who believes in you and shares your every need,
and walks beside you in laughter and song.
A friend doesn’t mind telling you what you need to hear sometimes,
that you may not be right, but instead, could be wrong.
A friend doesn’t cast blame on you for mistakes in your past,
but listens to the hurt you feel and is there when you need to cry.
A friend will make no promise that can’t be kept,
but will give you hope, at least a friend will try.

A friend will touch your heart and reassure you with a prayer,
and will walk an extra mile on the journey you do trod.
A friend will treat you special, and will love you no matter what,
because friends aren’t just born, they really are sent by God!
