Prayer of hope, prayer of promise,
Sent up to God by men of old.
Faith of gaining great salvation,
Eternal life's promise of gold.

A Savior born of low beginnings,
Foretold by prophets long ago.
A prayer of hope revealed the Messiah,
Prayers of promise, restored our soul.

In the garden, He prayed in anguish,
A prayer of hope to be sustained.
But the promise, more important to Him,
So at Calvary, His life was claimed.

The prayer of hope for all the ages,
Mankind was saved; blood shed for me.
Prayers of promise have now been answered
Because of Jesus, I've been set free.

On Easter morning, let us remember,
His resurrection, brought liberty.
The prayer of Hope became the Promise
Because of Him..... Eternity.
