A new day is dawning
the sun is so warm
still feeling sleepy
I can't help but yawn
Rubbing my eyes
I climb out of bed
walk to the window
scratching my head
I take a deep breath
the air is so fresh
baby birds chirping
inside of the nest
The fragrance of roses
a morning delight
squirrels and chipmunks
running about
The sky is clear blue
with no clouds in sight
a grin on my face
and feeling just right
