I prayed to God to send me
Some words to share with you
He told me He'd already tried
Doing all that He could do
He said, do you remember
When you wrote a 'title' down
But you were busy doing nothing
And just couldn't hear a sound

Twas then that I was sending
words
A 'whisper' here and there
You were just too absorbed in
'self'
Sending up yet another prayer
Now child, what would you have
me do?
If you won't stop to listen in
Sometimes it is just a little
whisper
Or perhaps it's blowing in the
wind

A child - a hope - a promise
A message from a friend
Are all the 'little whispers'
That I share and that I send
Do you not feel My presence
I am with you everywhere
And even before you say the
words
I already know your prayer

My child, take time to listen
Just sit a while with Me
For you and I will always find
Memories to share - you see
Thoughts are merely thoughts,
you know
But words are what I share
All the 'little whispers', dear
Will always be right here

God's Little Whispers

My heart is
overflowing with a good theme;
I recite my composition
concerning the King:
My tongue is the pen of a ready
writer. ~ Psalm 45:1 ~
