When I was a little girl,
I used to run and play....
I had so much fun,
I did it every day!

I loved to play outside....
Whether rain, sun or snow.
My little dog would follow me,
Where ever I would go.

Now I've watched my children
As they have learned to play.
Just like me, they have played....
And did it every single day.

Oh! And yes, I'm now a grandma,
Watching my grandbabies too.
As they run, play and laugh...
Just like I used to do!

Sometimes I miss my childhood....
But to go back, I would never....
For I'd miss all the precious things
God's blessed me with forever.
