Did I ever take the time to tell you how I feel
To let you know just what you mean to me?
Did I ever share with you just how lost that I would be
If I didn’t get to share your company?

You have always been there and often gave me strength
During many times that you may not recall.
You were always with me and helped me through each trial
You gave me love and kept me from the fall.



We’ve had lots of fun and laughs and we have shed some tears,
But then I guess that is what best friends do.
However, you are much more than just a friend of mine.
Because I have a sister’s love for you.

Today is a special day, your birthday, and I’m glad
That we have shared so many through the years.
I wish that I could give you something wonderful today
You deserve the very best and always will.



From the time that we were children you have been with me
I thank God for every moment that we share.
I wish for you this birthday that you’ll know in your heart
Just how much I love you and I care.

Happy Birthday, dearest friend, may all your dreams come true,
I pray that God will grant each wish today.
And I want to tell you that I have you in my heart
I’m so blessed to have had you along my way.
