In one’s lifetime,
If we are fortunate,
We meet that special friend,
The one who means to us the most,
But for reasons, known only to God,
Time and circumstance
separates them;
Their friendship is lost
But never forgotten

How could we forget the laughter,
The tears, the elation’s, the prayers,
The secrets we shared?
Not even time can erase
Those precious memories

But per chance,
We meet again,
And the toils that life has
Heaped upon us
Has not changed who we are
Deep down inside

We will meet once again
If not on earth,
Then in heaven,
Where friendships
Always abide.
