There’s a force that bonds
them one to the other;
A different bond for each,
mother, father, sister or
brother;
The ties that bind are
deeper than friends;
They’ll stand by each
other’s side through thick
and through thin;
Misunderstandings and
anger enter their space
but can not stay;
They share a like
bloodline, GOD made them
that way;

They come from the same
ancestors from centuries
ago;
Even blood of slave
owner’s flow in many
veins, we know;
Many move away from their
original home site,
but always return someday
or some night;

I can only say what it
means to me;
A shoulder to cry on when
that I need;
A helpful heart that cares
, indeed;
a prayer that follows me
wherever I go;
Someone who cares, this I
surely know!

As I stand back and take a
long, look my life is like
an open
book; As I think of my
family that has passed on;
Why did they have to go?
Though much time has
passed I still miss them
so;

Don’t ever forget as you
leave your loved one
today;
That family we love are
sometimes taken away;
So, while you have them
let them know everyday you
love them, so;
As you part a kiss, an
embrace;
The last place you see
them just might be this
place;

Take advantage of every
moment you share;
For when you awake at days
dawn they no longer may be
there;
And if this you’ve done
and this you do;
You’ll be at peace as
family leaves you;
You’ll let them go to be
at rest;
And hope their lives
passes GOD’S test:
