FOR YOU MOTHER



So many things I want to tell you
But the words get stuck in my throat
So I thought I'd put it in writing this time
In verse form, in this note.

I admire all you have accomplished
You've made me what I am today
Through your love and guidance
I was able to find my way.


I want you to know how grateful I am
And how much I truly love you
I know I don't say the words enough
This is something I no longer plan to do.

From now on Mother, I will let you know
Just how much you mean to me
Each and everyday I will speak the words
So there's no doubt, you will see.
