THE WEST VIRGINIA MINERS

I longed for rest, so I closed my eyes.
I went to sleep, but I did not die.

For in this darkened cave...
An awesome light began to glow.
I saw an opening,  I was saved...
By someone I felt I'd always known.

Strong arms with tender care,
Gathered me close, to His heart.
I recognized this person,
As if we'd never been apart.

This love surrounded me...
It was larger than life.
I thought of my family,
My children and wife.

♥   ♥   ♥
As He carried me,
I knew He had always been
In my life time's every scene...
Since it all began.

I looked around...
As He carried me up above.
I could see the gathering of others,
Being carried too, with His love.

We entered a gate,
To beautiful castles in the sky.
I saw beautiful rivers, golden streets....
Then I began to cry.
♥
Suddenly God appeared...
He wiped my tears away.
Holding me so close and near, He said...
"My child, I welcome you back, today".
♥
All I could do was sing praise and dance,
As I looked at God with a little smile.
He said, "Be patient my loving child...
Your family will join you, in awhile".

God said, "Let me introduce you...
To the one who carried you.
My son, Jesus and your birth angels...
Who also helped some too".

They have always been there,
Even before you were born to earth.
I assigned them to carry you...
Before and at the start of your birth.
 ♥
My Son, Jesus,
He's the light...
That brightened up the cave...
Surrounded you with His love...
As the angels held you in flight,
With feathers from a dove.
♥
So, rest easy my child...
You're My Newest Angel.
