I have reached the sunset years of my life
God helped me through trouble and strife
And wiped away all my tears
God is a friend so dear in my sunset years



Sunset years are happy times for me
I remember how hard things used to be
Sunset years with my Lord I have no fear
Because I know He is standing near.



Music of my sunset years lingers in my heart
The soft melody makes ills of life depart
My Lord gives me happiness, not sorrow
And He has plans for my tomorrow.
