In my life, I have know many pleasures
The LORD has blessed me, beyond measure
But of all the good things in my life
It was my darling husband, that was my greatest treasure
Then a day came, we had to say goodbye
Since then, many tears have I cried.



The days have now turned to weeks
The long weeks to months
Now, some years have passed
Since I saw my darling last
But during all this time, we have been apart
Never once, has he and his love left my heart.



I love him as much today, as I did from the start
When he first stole completely, my heart
How precious was the time together we shared
So lovingly for me, he always cared
Priceless are my precious memories of him
In my heart our love, has never grown dim.



For now, my only choice is to wait
Until the day we meet, at heaven's gate
I know there he will be, to welcome me
With a sweet , 'Funnyface come on in'
'It's been so long baby doll'
'Where ya been ?'
