He left His home of Glory
So you, and I would have a way
To an eternal life beside Him
And for that He had to pay

He left His home in Heaven
To become like you, and me
Took on a very humble lifestyle
So all His children could be
free
To think, a King gave up His
riches
For the likes of you, and I
Came down to Earth as servant
Knowing He was going to die

He gave up all His comfort
And left his heavenly home on
high
Left a Father that was loving
To save us all from Satans lie
This mans name is Jesus
He suffered terribly
Beaten, and forsaken
For the likes of you, and me

And how do we repay Him?
We're sinful through, and
through
How do we always thank the one
Who died for me, and you?
We bicker, and we argue
We war on sacred ground
We are selfish, and we're
haughty
Then pray that things will turn
around

How can we ask for anything
From our Heavenly Father above
If we're not willing to be
humble
And turn our Sins around?
To give up everything He had
Just to make a way for me
That is something in itself
And a love not many see

His life was taken from Him
And He gave it willingly
Now we have a choice to make
Death, or life eternally
