Can you see my smile?
It's there just for you .
You have a pleasing style...
What more can you do ?
You took me from a little child
And raised me up so well.
Stood beside me, treated me
mild...
You picked me up when I fell.
Taught me how to ride my first
bike.
Made my boo-boos feel better.
Said I was your lil' tike.
So, I write to you a special
letter.
You showed me not to push and
shove.
With the kindness you shared.
Showed me a tender love,
Made sure I knew you cared.
Scolded me when I did wrong.
Healed me when I hurt.
Showed me how to be strong.
You even called me squirt...
Told stories of your
yester-years.
Hoped I'd grow to make you
proud.
Wiped and dried all my tears...
You were never loud.
Dad, I want say to you...
Happy Fathers Day!
From a heart so true,
Thank you in every way...
For giving me a good life,
Taking the time to say I love
you.
Even through pain and strife.
When I didn't have a clue...
What life was all about...
You helped my dreams come true!
For that I will shout out!
