Dear daughter of mine,
You're such a delight,
I'd even love you,
If you were not mine.
For you have a Spirit
That's gentle and true,
God richly blessed me,
The day I had you!

Your sweet laughter echoes,
Then wraps 'round my heart,
To tell you these feelings,
I know not where to start.
The girl that you were,
The woman you are...
I would not change a second,
I'm richer, by far...

Watching you grow,
In body and Spirit,
So priceless to me,
I hardly can bear it.
The joy in my heart,
When I think of you....
Overflows in my Spirit...
Colors all that I do.

I could go on,
But I'd write a book!
May joy be a companion,
Contentment, your nook.
Dear daughter of mine,
I love you so deeply,
Always, unconditionally...
Forever, completely.
