God is forming us as living stones
chipping, chipping, piece by piece
All that's not the face of Jesus, we know
He's removing bit by bit
until His purest life, is shining from our soul

All He sees as empty, He carries far away
with a loving touch each day
until we are made whole

He knows the perfect tools to use
to cause us all to say
Lord, all You choose is fine to see,
Please, just gently chip away
I trust Your hand
I rest content
with all the loveliness of You
being made alive
within the heart of me
