Aren't you so very pretty then
You lovely little fairy wren
Of the very richest blue
Can't stop admiring you

Of you I've become so very fond
Splashing about in my garden pond
And as you flap your pretty wings
What is it that you sing

You come at dawn to play
Then somewhere fly away
But in sunset's fading light
You return to flit into my soul
With your little flick goodnight

And how did My Father choose
To lovingly create
Such a friendly little bird
My heart to freely take
