Today, somewhere, sometime, somebody
Is hurting, saddened in a loss
A heart is breaking now
Reeling from the shock, a pet, a friend, a home
A hope, a dream has disappeared
The clouds have dimmed tomorrow
Shrouding all with fear

Memories....so encompassing
Gripping tight the heart
Tears within the pain
Confusion, dreaming of unknowns
The sky is pouring rain
Feeling so alone

Struggling to find the light
Life's tunnel surely blocked
You wonder how to cope
Grasping for the hope, there are no present answers
To bear away the knocks

I can but send you all my love
For comfort in your loss
Then, I can pray the Father
For all He is, to take you through
To lift you up each day
Cradle the precious heart of you
Treasure every dream, for they will come again,
As He holds you close
In the love that never ends
