I was sitting by life's pathway
Watching many folks go by
Everyone was walking briskly
Who then could I find
But, then I saw a loving smile
'Twas lighting up your face
So I held out my hand
To draw in of your grace

You called then, as I stood
To reach your out-stretched hand
Pulling me into the care
Of one who understands

I felt endearing kindness
A gentle loving heart
I knew I would enjoy the walk
With you upon this path
Now all we pray together
Puts love in every sorrow
To double all our joys
For beautiful tomorrows
