Today I feel like a little kid again
Skipping up the path
No matter the rain, singing away
Happy in my heart

I am merrily tripping along
For a special visit only at your place
A double skip now and then
With a grin upon my face

As I think of all we'll do
And the heavenly to say
I rush by every pretty thing, even the rainbow
To hurry on my way

I can't stop to splash in puddles
Nor shake drops from a lovely rose
Nothing will keep me from my sunshine friend
As I hurry up the road

I'm almost at your sheltering door
Now walking up your path
Your arms are open wide
From the warmth within your heart
