You come so very gently, You come to be with me
You were there for me all along
When I wanted to know
Life, You came
to give me everything, You came, so
I could belong




For I wanted so much to live, not just
Today, but for always
To know the love, the beauty
I was destined to understand-
I will turn,
to You alone
For somehow I know, You saw me
Waiting in the night
wanting the gift, You loved,
before I knew, You were thinking, planning for me
preparing a way, You sacrificed Your all
to give me life




You didn't ever turn Your face from me
Never ever, have You gone away
Each time I called, You came
Close, I knew
You were there, to trust
With the life You wanted, deep within my soul
My Friend, my beautiful Friend
with the beautiful gift
Always there, always reaching out
With only love
