Ok ya'll, Christmas is almost here,
and I've been on the "blink",
Guess it's time I tried some rhyme,
and warmed up this old ink.
Now we all believe in santy claus,
and
all his kindly ways,
But what you may not grasp, is this:
it's your hearts that make the day!
For Christmas is a season,
that should
bring out the best in us,
Sending love and greetings,
(and
there's NO need to make a fuss!)

Cause God instilled in each of us,
His spirit, whole and true,
We all have the choice to make,
yes,
that means me and you!
We feed the one that matters most,
I
pray it is the good,
Let's all give thanks to Him above,
like everybody should.
Now get those stockings ready,
and
boxes nicely wrapped,
Don't forget to make some fudge,
(then
maybe take a nap!)

To me, just a gift of love,
a kindness
in our hearts..
Is the best thing we can share,
our
friendship to impart.
But if ole santy comes your way,
down
chimney's or in the door,
Leave him something kind from you,
then add a little more...
Of Christmas cheer, spread wide and
near,
give of your heart to all,
Just a smile will make a day
much
brighter, grown, or small.

Kiss those little faces,
with eyes so
wide with wonder,
Then watch with joy as they begin,
the
Christmas warmth to ponder.
Feed their souls with wealth untold,
it isn't wrapped up with a bow,
It's teaching them the truth and love,
that God lives in their souls!
Now, I did the best I could,
Merry
Christmas one and all,
As you can tell, I'm from the south,
so
"MERRY CHRISTMAS, YA'LL!"
