The wind is playing a beautiful song
Just listen and you will hear
A sound you've never heard before
It'll be music to your ears.

It starts off oh so subtle
And ends with a beautiful crescendo
Like kettle drums in a symphony
The intensity of it grows.

Never are any two alike
Each swirl of wind has its own tune
Listen closely and you will hear
It's like a singer beginning to croon.

Caressing you oh so gently
Touching your skin, your cheeks, your hair
Enveloping you like a loving mate
But be cautious and be aware.

'Cause it can turn from soothing
From a lullaby to a scream
Changing your every perception
You'll think it's just a dream!

But now it's singing a lilting song
The swirling has begun
I'm listening to the different tunes
Enjoying the wind and sun.
