The sun is bright, it's a 'shinin'
And here I sit, still a 'whinin'.
So much to do, my house is a mess
I'm starting to scream, I am in distress.

People out a 'walkin', children are a 'playin'
I want to have some fun, that's all I'm a 'sayin'.
I'm chained indoors, this housework has me
I look out the window, and sigh at what I see.

Then I gaze all around, at the mess I have indoors
I need to clean the walls, and then clean all the floors.
The list is endless, work is all I ever do
I need to escape, I'm feeling so blue.

The heck with this! I'll just call it a day
Lock up the house, and just go away!
Enjoy myself, and have some fun
I'll just relax, and soak up the sun!
