A song to be sung for an eternity
In churches and on stages.

A song that will reach to Heaven above
A song that will make the angels smile
Meaningful words for the soul
This song will cause dancing in the aisles.

Dear Muse, please tell me what to write
Take control of my mind and hand
Let the music and words flow freely
Make the people shout and stand.

Say halleijah and amen
At the beginning and end of my song
Bow your head and say a prayer
Let each person feel they belong.

Dear Muse, have them hum my tune
At the start of each new day
Carry my song within their hearts
It will help them find their way.

And when the day has come to a close
And the moon is shining above
Let my song open their hearts
So all will be consumed with love.
