Breathe life into me Father
I'm waiting as I plead
For only You can give that gift
The one I sorely need

Open my eyes to see
I know that I've walked blinded
So ~ You walked right next to me

Repair this heart that bleeds
For if I have You dear Father
Tis all this old heart needs

Open up my ears to hear
All of the 'little whispers'
You always have to share

My step is slow and weak
The years have taken such a toll
Even yet as now I seek

Please brush away the fears
All the heartbreak I have felt
Over these many years

I know it once was there
I know sometimes I feel it
While I am bowed in prayer

Breathe life into me Father
I need Your gentle touch
I love You so and linger
Because I do love You so much

Breathe life into me Father
A life for You alone
That I may walk the pathway
That leads me back to Home

Breathe life into me Father
Please let me touch Your hand
And thank You Lord for patience
And that You always understand

For with every breath You bring
Another touch of loving care
Making me feel like I have wings

Until I don't need it anymore
I smile as I can picture
Me there at Heaven's door

I pray thee just to please
I humbly searched and found You
While here on these bended knees

Breathe life into me Father
I know I'm growing old
But it is summer in my heart
And spring within my soul

Breathe life into me Father
And that is all I plead
Then show me what You'd have
me do
While here before I leave

You can do anything
I am just here to serve You
My Master, My Lord, My King
