As the darkness begins to fade
God is raising the shade
To a beautiful sunrise in the sky
A sight to see as we open our eyes.

Sunlight shimmering through the trees
A gentle breeze blowing golden leaves
With hands as gentle as can be
God is sharing this beauty with you and me.

Now that the night has been tucked away
It is time to kneel and pray
Giving thanks to our Lord
For this beautiful sunrise today.
