Looking at my flower garden
this morning
A tiny hummingbird took me by surprise
Hovering over my garden before my eyes
A beautiful sight making my heart sing.
My first hummingbird to see
today
So beautiful he took my breath away
His tiny whirring wings in the sunlight
His red and green colors so bright.
He hovered over my garden of
flowers
The roses and lilacs he did seek
Drinking deep their sweet nectar
With his long black beak.
A tiny hummingbird close to me
at last
His small wings whirring as he flew past
I stood in awe as my hummingbird flew away
Oh yes, I know, God has blessed me today.
